When the illegal asylum seeker and Essex hotel resident who had assaulted a fourteen year old girl was mistakenly released from prison, the Justice Secretary David Lammy pronounced himself appalled. He said he was introducing the toughest checks on prisoner releases there had ever been.
But the same thing has happened all over again, with a second foreign prisoner from Algeria, at Wandsworth Jail in London this time.
