Keir Starmer has taken a swipe at Brexit as the Prime Minister says Britain needs to look to the European Union to tackle the cost of living crisis.

Speaking from Downing Street, he said it is in the "our long term national interest" to have a "closer partnership" with the EU, saying: "Brexit did deep damage to our economy and the opportunities to strengthen our security and cut the cost of living are simply too big to ignore."
