Dame Sarah Mullally is the first female Archbishop of Canterbury, but before landing the influential role, she also had a significant career in nursing.
Before making history in the Church of England, the 63-year-old from Woking had already become the youngest chief nursing officer in the country at 37.
Dame Sarah was ordained in 2001 and left her government post as chief nursing officer at the Department of Health in 2004, taking up a full-time ministry in the London borough of Sutton.
She is being enthroned at Canterbury Cathedral.
