In Belgium, farmers are staging a protest against rising costs, environmental policies, and cheap food imports 🚜🪧
Today, they are threatening to block access to the capital as EU leaders are gathering for a summit. They are planning to drive all the way towards the EU institutions district in the city, including the Place du Luxembourg in front of the European Parliament 🌎
Farmers are holding demonstrations across Europe, with the targets of their anger usually the same – national governments who are seen as failing to support their farmers, and the European Union, which is blamed for imposing burdensome regulations.
