Defence ministers are being asked an Urgent Question on the government’s Chagos negotiations.
It comes amid concerns that the incoming Trump administration is opposed to the agreement that would see sovereignty of the Chagos Islands transferred to Mauritius, with a 99-year lease for the military base on Diego Garcia, due to potential Chinese influence in the region.
