Carlos De Oliveira is set to be arraigned in federal court in Miami to face charges such as trying to obstruct justice, concealing records and documents, and making false statements to the FBI.
Mr Oliveira is alleged to have aided former US president Donald Trump with attempting to obstruct the Justice Department’s investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents.
According to the indictment, Mr Oliveira and Trump’s personal valet Walt Nauta, moved documents from Trump’s residence to storage and asked for surveillance footage to be deleted on behalf of Trump.
He is also accused of draining the Mar-a-Lago resort pool to flood the rooms that may have contained surveillance footage.
