Scottish First Minister John Swinney is expected to insist that ‘the stars are aligning’ for independence during his keynote speech in Aberdeen.
Swinney’s address comes the day after Andy Burnham gave his first major speech in Scotland since entering No. 10, saying he wanted to ‘move beyond the old politics of conflict’ as he offered to work with the SNP to deepen devolution in Scotland.
The Prime Minister also said he wanted to work together on giving more power to local communities.
John Swinney’s speech closes the three-day 92nd Scottish National Party Annual National Conference.
