President Trump is speaking from the Oval Office after his ‘War Secretary’ Pete Hegseth said that America had placed a ‘red, white and blue dome’ over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran has warned the US that "we have not even begun yet", as the country’s navy traded blows with the US further testing the already fragile ceasefire.
Tehran also launched attacks on oil infrastructure on the UAE on Monday, the first time since the ceasefire took hold on April 8.
Tensions continued to flare around the Strait of Hormuz – a major flashpoint of the war, which began on February 28 when the US and Israel launched joint attacks on Iran.
"The security of shipping and energy transit has been jeopardised by the United States and its allies through the violation of the ceasefire and the imposition of a blockade," Iranian speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf posted on X.
"Of course, their evil will diminish. We know full well that the continuation of the status quo is intolerable for America, while we have not even begun yet."
The US denied a report by Iranian media that one of its warships was hit by Iranian missiles as it tried to enter the Strait of Hormuz.
