Following the furore over the controversial 28-point peace plan drafted by U.S. and Russian officials, there’s been talk today of "progress" being made.
But Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned the big problem remains Russian demands to keep the territory its troops have seized – and, alongside this, Britain, Germany and France have reportedly drafted an alternative plan – said to be more friendly to Ukraine.
But curtly dismissed by a Kremlin spokesman as "completely unconstructive." The next major stage could be another meeting between Zelenskyy and President Trump – although no indication has yet emerged of when, or even if, that might take place.
