MPs quiz the BBC chairman, Samir Shah, and two other key figures on Monday amid concerns around the broadcaster’s impartiality following the editing of a speech on Panorama.
Former editorial adviser Michael Prescott, who raised concerns that a Panorama episode included selective editing of a speech made by President Donald Trump before the attack on the US Capitol in 2021, is one of those facing questions from MPs on the Media and Sport Committee.
They will be quizzed on the BBC’s editorial standards guidelines and how the corporation complies during the evidence sessions.
