Allies of the prime minister say he will fight any leadership challenge launched against him from MPs.
One of the names being discussed is Wes Streeting – whose team has denied any coup.
MPs are also going to question the Prime Minister on the scandal over the editing of a speech by Trump before the attack on the US Capitol on January 6 2021.
In an interview on Fox News, the US President said he has the "obligation" to take legal action against the BBC, accusing it of defrauding the public.
