The Chancellor announced a raft of measures in a major speech in Oxford, including support for expansion of Heathrow Airport.
Rachel Reeves also announced funding for East-West rail, linking Oxford and Cambridge, as well as backing for the redevelopment of Old Trafford.
"I have always been clear that a third runway at Heathrow would unlock further growth, boost investments, increase exports and make the UK more open and more connected," she told the audience.
