Watch the moment a 7.0-magnitude earthquake hits Tibet

Rescuers are searching through Tibet after a magnitude 7.0 earthquake killed at least 16 people, left 54 injured and collapsed hundreds of homes.

The quake hit the city of Nagqu, north of the Tibetan capital Lhasa, on October 22.

According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake struck at 10:33 p.m. local time, with its epicentre 191 kilometres east-northeast of Nagqu and a depth of 18 kilometres.
