A van driver who hit and killed a woman on a golf course in Staffordshire has been sentenced.
John McDonald, 51, drove his Nissan van into Aston Wood Golf Club during a police chase last April and ran into Suzanne Cherry, who had been playing golf with her husband.
The court heard how he stepped over the body of Suzanne before fleeing the scene.
John McDonald was sentenced to 13 years and six months for death by dangerous driving.
He was also sentenced for conspiracy for commit fraud, and will be disqualified from driving for 16 years and eight months.
The judge told him he would have to serve two-thirds of his sentence in prison before being released on licence.
