
Minimum wage rates are to go up next year, meaning a pay rise for millions of workers.
The National Living Wage will increase for eligible workers aged 21 and over, while younger workers between 18 and 20 will also get more.
The Chancellor Rachel Reeves says she has accepted the recommendations of the Low Pay Commission, so that people on low incomes can, as she put it, be "properly rewarded for their hard work."
But some small businesses say they’re dreading the extra costs.
