Two weeks ago, U.S. President Donald Trump had promised help to anti-regime rebels in Iran – which never materialised. He now warns of what he calls – a ‘beautiful Armada’ – is tonight sailing towards Iran. In what marks the latest escalation in tensions between the United States and Tehran, American aircraft carriers are said to be "moving quickly" to the Middle East. It follows the President’s threats to use military force against the regime, in the wake of its recent clampdown on protestors. It comes as Trump urgently demands a deal on Iran’s nuclear program.
