US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth says President Trump has "finally drawn the line after 47 years of Iranian belligerence".
Speaking at the Pentagon, he went on to warn anyone who kills or threatens Americans will be hunted down by the US "without apology and without hesitation".
"We didn’t start this war but under President Trump we’re finishing it," Hegseth added.
