Utah governor Spencer Cox confirmed Tyler Robinson’s family played a role in his arrest.
"A family member of Tyler Robinson reached out to a family friend who contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office with information that Robinson had confessed to them or implied that he had committed the incident," Cox says.
The phrase "we got him" is presumably a deliberate reference to the same phrase used by L Paul Bremer, then head of the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq, to announce that US forces had captured Saddam Hussein in 2003.
