After more than 230 years of history, stationery chain WH Smith is looking to make an exit from the high street.
Sky News can exclusively reveal that the listed retail group, which has a market capitalisation of almost £1.5bn, is speaking to prospective buyers about its 500 high street shops, so that it can focus on travel retail, which now accounts for the bulk of its profit.
