British media reported that former British Prime Minister Tony Blair could lead a possible future transitional administration of the Gaza Strip. With the support of the UN and the Gulf states, Blair could lead this administrative authority. The administrative authority would be the "supreme political and legal authority" for Gaza for five years, after which control of the territory would be transferred to the Palestinians.
