What would happen if Britain went to war with Russia? ‘The damage would be profound’ | Steve Jermy

A former British naval commander has issued a stark warning over Europe’s preparations for a potential war with Russia. Commodore Steve Jermy tells GB News that Britain and Europe are not prepared for the realities of a major modern conflict, warning that energy shortages, weak industrial capacity and military escalation could have devastating consequences. He also lays out a scenario in which Russia could retaliate against European countries supplying long-range weapons to Ukraine, and questions whether NATO and the US would risk direct confrontation with Moscow. Jermy argues that Britain and Europe should reconsider their approach to the war and urgently examine the possibility of diplomacy with Russia.
