Germany has blamed Russia for an attempted attack at a cargo airport last month involving a drone laden with explosives.
The drone was found near a Ukrainian plane at the Leipzig/Halle Airport on the evening of August 4, and was subsequently defused.
German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said on Tuesday that the attempted attack fits into a known pattern of “Russian hybrid operations”.
