The White House has been engulfed in scandal after it emerged a journalist had been inadvertently added to a group chat, being used by senior members of Donald Trump’s cabinet to discuss classified military plans.
The Editor of the Atlantic Magazine, Jeffrey Goldberg, was accidentally invited by US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz to join a group on the messaging app Signal, whose members included the vice president and the defence secretary.
