A nine-year-old girl was among five people killed when a Saudi man drove a car through a packed Christmas market in Germany.
Speaking at a news conference, the prosecutor in the case said the 50-year-old suspect, named in German media as Taleb A, will be charged with five murders and grievous bodily harm.
Investigators are trying to find out why the man, who came to Germany in 2006, attacked the market in the town of Magdeburg.
The prosecutor said the suspect’s actions may be linked to "dissatisfaction with the treatment of refugees from Saudi Arabia and how they’ve been treated in Germany".
