Over half of all victims of domestic abuse withdraw from the justice process before any charges are brought – that’s according to exclusive analysis of Met police figures by the Victims Commissioner for London.

The rate is even higher for those who report rape. One victim said she was repeatedly discouraged by the police from pursuing her complaint against her abuser.
