US President Donald Trump has announced the execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan will not be accessible to the public via livestream. The plan was announced by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth last week, and received criticism from across the political spectrum. Hasan – an army psychiatrist – was convicted of killing 13 soldiers at a US military base in 2009. His death sentence will be the first US military execution by firing squad since the end of World War Two.
