Why inheritance tax reveals what politicians really believe | The Cathy Newman Show

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has announced that the Conservatives would abolish inheritance tax on family homes.

In the closing speech at the Conservative party conference, Badenoch also attempted to draw clear dividing lines between the Tories and Reform and attacked Labour’s tax plans.

On the show tonight, Cathy and the panel will discuss why inheritance tax is a totemic issue in British politics and assess whether Badenoch’s message is cutting through to the general public.

Plus, pressure grows on Zack Polanski to talk about the Green’s ‘Zionism is racism’ policy and an internal Reform investigation clears two top party officials of breaching the law following a Channel 4 undercover documentary.

On the panel:
Baroness Harriet Harman, Labour peer
Lord Ed Vaizey, Tory peer
