Why is Trump feuding with US unis?

More than 100 university, college and scholarly society presidents have signed a joint statement opposing the way the Trump administration has targeted institutions since his inauguration.

The US government says they will respond to Harvard University’s lawsuit in court and that the institution put itself in the position to lose its federal funding.
