Why Israel targeted ‘Hezbollah banking network’

Beirut suffered one of its most violent onslaughts of the war overnight as Israeli rockets pounded its southern suburbs, targeting a Hezbollah-linked financial institution.

At least 10 strikes targeted branches of the Qard al-Hasan company, many situated in residential buildings and one close to the country’s only international airport.
