Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch began her line of questioning on the economy, asking why anyone should trust a "word he [Starmer] says over the voices of British businesses".
In response, the prime minister said the global economy is "experiencing volatility" and that’s why it was "vital" Labour made the decisions it did in the budget.
The PM was also quizzed on anti-corruption minister Tulip Siddiq’s resignation and Rachel Reeves’s future as chancellor.
