A Summer Savings scheme run by the government was criticised on Thursday 23 July for not going far enough.
The temporary cut in VAT on children’s meals and attractions was announced in June.
Now theme parks have told ITV News that the VAT discount has led to more customers. But to save, families also have to spend.
