Syrian authorities say they have arrested 21 people allegedly linked to the regime of ousted president Bashar al-Assad in the coastal province of Latakia.
A night-time curfew is in force in Latakia City after a series of attacks against Alawite-majority neighbourhoods. The city has seen days of protests triggered by the bombing of an Alawite mosque. The community has been the target of numerous attacks since Assad was ousted.
