Widespread flooding hits Japan

Japan has warned of a growing risk of disaster – after torrential rain hit the southern Kyushu island – triggering widespread flooding and landslides.

More than 360,000 residents were evacuated – as entire streets were inundated.

There’s been widespread disruption to transport with dozens of flights, trains and buses cancelled or diverted.
