Large parts of England are under an amber health alert, with temperatures soaring above 30C.
Wildfire warnings are in place in Scotland and Northern Ireland, while six million people in Yorkshire have been ordered not to use hosepipes.
Temperatures are expected to hit 34C on Saturday in western England and will remain high into the beginning of next week.
