Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, has said he is working on a new Gaza aid plan after inspecting a controversial food distribution center on Friday.
The UN says hundreds of people have been killed in the vicinity of the Israeli and US-backed distribution facilities, though Israel maintains that its forces do not intentionally target civilians. More than 60,000 people are reported to have died in the conflict in Gaza, with international anger growing at the deepening starvation crisis.
