Will UK lift ban on Syria’s HTS rebel group?

Syria is now mostly under the control of the rebel group Hayat Tahrir al Sham.

Their leader Abu Mohammed al-Jolani has pledged to have a representative government and promote religious tolerance – although some are sceptical.
The UK now needs to decide whether to lift the ban on HTS, which they consider a terrorist organisation.
