Windrush train line: mixed feelings as victims wait for compensation

The latest tribute to the Windrush generation is about to officially open, a train line dedicated to remembering the Black Caribbean immigrants who came to rebuild the country after World War Two.

But there’s already growing frustration over a Windrush compensation scheme which is being accused of moving at a glacial pace.

And that’s fuelling anger among victims and their families over yet another memorial in their name.
