Woman and three children are killed in a house fire in Bootle

A woman and three children have died in a house fire and another person has been taken to hospital.

Fire crews were called to the blaze at a semi-detached house in Stone Square in Bootle, Sefton, at about 3.45am on Tuesday, 22 September.

Speaking at the scene, Chief Fire Officer Nick Searle said the “intense fire” had “spread very rapidly”.
