The 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup begins on Friday night in Sunderland, marking the start of the tournament which will be held across the UK until Saturday 27th September.
All four home nations are preparing for the largest Women’s Rugby World Cup ever staged, which will be held in England.
The tournament kicks off on Friday, August 22 at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, and continues over five weeks, coming to a head on September 27 at Allianz Stadium Twickenham, the official home of England Rugby.
Sunderland was buzzing with energy today as fans from all around the world descended on the city.
