World champion figure skaters on crashed jet

American and Russian figure skaters were on board a passenger jet that crashed in Washington DC.

The Figure Skating Club of Boston confirmed that six of their athletes were on board, including world champions Yevgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov.

The jet collided with an Army helicopter over the Potomac River and officials say nobody is expected to have survived.
