US president-elect Donald Trump has appointed billionaire Elon Musk to lead a new "Department of Government Efficiency".
Sky’s Wilfred Frost noted that government efficiency is exactly what the health secretary, Wes Streeting, is trying to achieve with his plans to name and shame underperforming NHS trusts, and sack managers that fail to turn things around.
Asked if he would welcome a meeting with Mr Musk to compare notes on government efficiency, Mr Streeting replied: "I’d be very surprised if I see that meeting in my diary."
