The European Commission announced last week that both countries have met the necessary requirements to begin these talks&#8230;. <\/p>\n<p>However, the process is far from straightforward. In Moldova, pro-Kremlin parties are actively working to prevent the country from joining the EU.  <\/p>\n<p>DW reporter Grzegorz Szymanowski visited the autonomous region of Gagauzia, where a pro-Russian governor is staging a fight with the pro-EU Moldovan government.  <\/p>\n<p>For more detail on this, we talk to Grzegorz Szymanowski who produced the report in our show.
