The president then went on to suggest he might have ordered flags lowered following the shooting of state representative Melissa Hortman and her husband but he said that Democratic Minnesota governor Tim Walz never asked him. &#8216;Had the governor asked me to do that, I would have done that gladly,&#8217; Trump said. Except that\u2019s not what happened.
