He described the woman who was shot dead in her car as \u201cvery disorderly, obstructing and resisting\u201d and said she \u201cviolently, wilfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defence\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>However videos of the incident in a busy street do not appear to show any attempt to run over officers or threat to their lives at the time of the shooting. <\/p>\n<p>The US Department for Homeland Security described the driver as a \u201cdomestic terrorist\u201d who \u201cweaponized her vehicle\u201d and attempted \u201cto run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them\u201d.   It stated:  \u201cAn ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots. He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jacob Frey, the mayor of Minneapolis held a press conference in which he told the ICE immigration officers to leave the city.  He said the Department for Homeland Security was:   \u201ctrying to spin this as an action of self-defence. Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly, that is bullshit.\u201d   He accused the ICE agents of terrorising citizens, saying:   \u201cPeople are being hurt. Families are being ripped apart.
