But I won&#8217;t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also said is dropping plans to add a 10% tariff to goods from eight European countries over their opposition to his push to acquire Greenland. <\/p>\n<p>His wide-ranging speech, in which he appeared to\u00a0confuse Greenland with Iceland four times, lasted more than an hour.<\/p>\n<p>In a post on social media Trump says he has \u201cformed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland&quot; after talks with Nato&#8217;s secretary general, Mark Rutte. <\/p>\n<p>US markets rose sharply following the announcement.
