{"id":325126,"date":"2026-03-11T15:00:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-11T15:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsisc.com\/videos\/air-india-crash-families-demand-to-know-how-it-happened\/"},"modified":"2026-03-11T15:00:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T15:00:09","slug":"air-india-crash-families-demand-to-know-how-it-happened","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsisc.com\/videos\/air-india-crash-families-demand-to-know-how-it-happened\/","title":{"rendered":"Air India crash: Families demand to know how it happened"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i4.ytimg.com\/vi\/KM7x6KW_oiI\/hqdefault.jpg\" alt=\"Air India crash: Families demand to know how it happened\"><br \/> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KM7x6KW_oiI\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe> <\/p>\n<p>Nine months after the Air India plane crash that killed 53 British Nationals, seven grieving families have accused the British government of abandoning them in their search for answers and accountability.<\/p>\n<p>They are also questioning whether they were given the correct remains of their loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>They are meeting for the first time &#8211; bound by a tragedy which unfolded in less than a minute and has left them with questions that still haunt them.<\/p>\n<p>ITV News met Zunairah Master, Miten Patel, Nick Meek, Nimmi Rajput, Chirag Patel, Jay Mervana and Anisha Patel \u2014 who between them lost mothers, fathers and brothers when Air India Flight 171 crashed seconds after take-off from Ahmedabad on 12th June 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Some have never spoken publicly about their experiences before.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside grief, there was deep frustration and anger over what families say was a lack of support from the British government.<\/p>\n<p>Nick Meek lost his brother Jamie, who had been returning to the UK with his husband.
