Russian investigative journalist Andrei Soldatov has sources within the intelligence services. He says the Russian army&#8217;s &quot;wait and see&quot; approach during the Wagner mutiny has unsettled power holders within the apparatus. &quot;The biggest threat is not Prigozhin per se, but the reaction of the army and the security services,&quot; Soldatov told DW&#8217;s Sarah Kelly. &quot;The people who were put in charge of providing political stability for Putin&#8217;s regime did absolutely nothing&quot; when Wagner mercenaries took over the military headquarters in Russia&#8217;s southern city of Rostov-on-Don. Prigozhin has reportedly fled to sanctuary in Belarus despite a pledge of amnesty from Putin.
