Once two children imprisoned in war, now two friends who have so much to catch up on.
Ian was just ten years old when he and his family were taken by Japanese troops to Lunghua camp in China. Katherine was 11 months old. She was taken along with her parents and younger brother to Weihsien camp. They were two of an estimated 40,000 children locked away in East Asia during World War II.
ITV News’ Sangita Lal spoke to them about their experience, 80 years after Victory in Japan Day.
