Yvette Cooper says UK will confront Russian planes in Nato airspace

The UK foreign secretary, Yvette Cooper, told the UN security council on Monday that Russia was risking direct armed confrontation with Nato after breaches of airspace by Russian drones and fighter jets in alliance countries. Other UN security council members also warned Russia, including the US’s Mike Waltz, the Estonian foreign minister and the Polish deputy prime minister
