Zack Polanski, the radical "eco-populist" candidate in the Green Party’s leadership race, has swept to victory with more than 80% of the vote.
The divisive London Assembly member, who is not an MP, was announced as party leader at a ceremony in London on Tuesday.
He overwhelming beat former co-leader Adrian Ramsay and newly elected MP Ellie Chowns, who ran together on a joint ticket, with 20,411 votes to 3,705.
